Fire (Scotland) Act 2005
Part 3 of the Act and the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006 require the duty holder to assess fire risk and keep that assessment under review. Enforced by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
Fire risk assessments, alarm systems, fire doors, extinguishers and emergency lighting for businesses, workplaces and buildings of every kind across the UK. One company, start to finish.
Wherever your premises are in the UK, the person responsible for a business, a workplace, or any building with shared areas must have a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment and keep it under review. The law differs between the nations, and we assess against the right one for your building. Failing to comply is a criminal offence, and serious breaches can lead to unlimited fines or imprisonment.
Part 3 of the Act and the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006 require the duty holder to assess fire risk and keep that assessment under review. Enforced by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
Extended by the Fire Safety Act 2021 to the structure, external walls and flat entrance doors of multi-occupied buildings. Since October 2023 the assessment must be recorded in full and name who carried it out.
Made under the Fire and Rescue Services (NI) Order 2006, with the same core duty to assess and manage fire risk. Enforced by the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service.
Licensing authorities routinely make a current fire risk assessment a condition of premises, HMO and short-term let licences, and insurers and lenders regularly ask to see one, on top of the fire safety law itself.
We assess the risk, then we put right what the assessment finds. No handing you a report and leaving you to it.
A competent, written assessment of your premises with a clear, prioritised action plan you can actually work through.
